Peaceful fishing in the heart of the mountains
No matter whether you are an experienced angler or a complete novice, the Hotel Forellenhof is the perfect place for a spot of fishing. The nearby Enns River is very popular among experts and offers fishing options to suit all levels and interests.
Our hotel’s fishing area, around 6km long, is reserved for our guests and can be reached easily.
The Enns River flows through Flachau and is very close to the Hotel Forellenhof.
The river’s good stock of brown and rainbow trout mean that you are almost guaranteed to get a bite!
Our own fishing pond
The pond area of the Forellenhof Hotel is located at a distance of approximately 7km from our hotel and can be reached easily by car, bicycle or on foot. It is an oasis of relaxation for you and your whole family. The water is of high quality and full of lively, happy and healthy fish.
The main pond of approximately 3,500 m² is reserved for fly fishing.
The excellent stock of brown and rainbow trout as well as char means fans of fly fishing can look forward to some great catches. The smaller ponds are used to breed rainbow trout and are therefore not open to guests for fishing.
The Hotel Forellenhof Hotel is proud to have been awarded the certificate ‘Der Fischerprofi’ in recognition of its outstanding fishing facilities.
As you can already tell by the hotel’s name – ‘Forelle’ being the German word for trout – we are huge fans of fishing and love welcoming anglers.
We are happy to answer any questions you may have and to provide you with extensive information about the waters.
